Itinerary Overview
- Hotel Pick-Up in La Fortuna / San José
We’ll start the day with a convenient hotel pick-up in either La Fortuna or San José. Your guide will give a short briefing on the plan for the day and what to expect on the river.
- White-Water Rafting on the Río Balsa
Get ready for two hours of rafting on fun Class II–III rapids. These waves are safe yet exciting for all skill levels. Between rapids, enjoy calm stretches with views of the rainforest. You may spot monkeys, toucans, or kingfishers. - Scenic Riverside Break
Halfway through your adventure, we’ll stop along the riverbank to enjoy fresh tropical fruit and recharge for the next stretch of rapids. - Costa Rican Lunch
After rafting, relax over a traditional Costa Rican lunch at a countryside restaurant. This is your chance to dry off, refuel, and share the day’s highlights.
- Transfer to San José/La Fortuna
Once lunch is finished, sit back and relax as we drive you directly to your hotel in San José or La Fortuna.
